Interested in Nominating a Student to Attend the MassSTAR Citizenship Conference?
The MassSTAR Citizenship Conference has proven to be a memorable and motivating experience for thousands of high school sophomores. The Mass Youth Leadership Foundation has sponsored similar programs over the last 25 years. Help us to acknowledge and foster the potential in one of your student leaders. Let us work with him or her for three days during our MassSTAR Citizenship Conference, and we will send them back to you energized and confident in their ability to make a difference.
What do you see in the future of the students you teach?
Do you see the potential, the value, and the ability to make a difference?
Do you see the power and desire to create a world that we can all be proud of?
Massachusetts high schools select an outstanding sophomore to attend The MassSTAR Citizenship Conference. The selection process is very simple and can be easily delegated. All sophomores are eligible, and we encourage any of them to apply. The downloadable information packet contains all you need to seek out, recognize, and help to develop leadership skills in your student body.
The 2009 years Citizenship Conference will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 - Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Lasell College in Newton, MA. Please submit the completed Nomination Form online, by mail or fax. As always, the conference is free to all attending students, their parents, and their schools.
If your school has participated in the past, we thank you for contributing to your students' leadership growth. If you were not one of those who took advantage of this "celebration of learning" opportunity last year, we encourage you to do so in 2009.
We are now accepting nominations for our 2009 MassSTAR Conference! Register by the priority date of January 15, 2009. Please see nomination information below.

2008 MassSTAR Conference A Success
Close to 100 students from all over Massachusetts participated in the 2008 MassSTAR Conference. They heard from panelists and participated in workshops and activities centered around the conference's theme: Think Globally, Act Locally. After the conference ended, students said that their lives were changed and that the conference inspired them to be better people in their communities. The MassSTAR Alumni Association would like to welcome the 2008 delegates to their alumni meetings. Please stay tuned about upcoming meetings and about the reunion!
